A murder investigation has been launched after a 23-year-old woman was found dead in a property in Islington, north London.

Police were called at 09.33 am on Thursday 6 August following concerns for the welfare of a woman at a residential address on Bollinder Place, Islington.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found the woman unresponsive and she was pronounced dead at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.

At the scene, officers arrested four women, aged 20, 21, 23 and 26, and two men, aged 21 and 24, on suspicion of murder. They have all since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the woman’s next-of kin.
