A 31-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services
A man has been charged with murder after a woman died falling from a height in south-east London.
Mohammed Sherif, 54, of Rowcross Street, Southwark, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday accused of the murder of Kerry Ann Goodbrand.
The 31-year-old was found fatally injured in Rowcross Street shortly before 3pm on Friday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
“Officers are working diligently to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death and members of the community will see an increased police presence in the area while inquiries are conducted locally.
