A £20,000 reward is being offered in connection with the murder of 51-year-old man whose body was found in a river.

A murder investigation was launched after the body of Adam Lucas was found in a Warwickshire river.

The 51-year-old’s body was spotted by a member of the public at around 7.45am on April 15. It was recovered from the River Leam in Victoria Park in Leamington Spa.

A post-mortem examination found he had died from injuries consistent with being assaulted. Warwickshire Police made four arrests as part of its murder inquiry, and all four people are currently on police bail.

The independent charity Crimestoppers is offering £20,000 for information given anonymously that leads to the conviction of those responsible for his death.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Gareth Unett, said: “Our thoughts remain with Adam’s family and friends, who continue to live with the pain of not knowing exactly what happened to him. “We’re determined to make sure those responsible are brought to justice and we’re confident someone knows what happened.

“We understand there may be reasons people have felt unable to speak to police, which is why we are urging people with information to consider contacting Crimestoppers anonymously.

“No matter how small or insignificant it may seem, your information could be the missing piece that helps us establish the truth about what happened to Adam and provide answers for his loved ones.”
