The Adani Group, a major global player in renewable energy, has denied allegations by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) and SEC, accusing its officials of bribery related to Indian solar energy contracts. These claims, which name Gautam Adani and other executives, allege a $250 million bribery scheme.

The group dismissed the charges as baseless, quoting the DoJ’s statement that allegations do not equate to guilt. “We are a law-abiding organization, fully compliant with all laws,” an Adani spokesperson assured, pledging to pursue all legal recourse.

Despite initial market turbulence, shares of Adani Green and Adani Enterprises recovered, reflecting investor confidence in the group’s operational strength and governance standards. The group’s leadership in clean energy has earned it a reputation as a cornerstone of India’s renewable energy revolution, with significant implications for Europe’s green energy collaborations.
